We are all consuming foods with secret (toxic) ingredients that aren’t being labeled. We are harming our families and our children each time we sit down at the dinner table. Well, the secret is out, and now we want it labeled.
It is the RIGHT of every individual to know if toxic substances are in their food.
The article, “Toxicology Expert Speaks Out About Roundup and GMOs” on Mercola.com documents the dangers of GMO and what has to be done NOW to stop this.
In summary, there are several things you need to know about genetically modified organisms (GMOs):
- First, despite what you hear, there are actually no peer-reviewed scientific papers establishing the safety of GMO crops. According to Dr. Huber, no one has established a safety factor to genetically engineered food, or the chemicals associated with it. There are numerous peer reviewed articles describing the harm and toxic effects of these.
- Epidemiological patterns show there is an identical rise in over 30 human diseases correlated with our increased usage of glyphosate (the active ingredient in Monsanto’s herbicide roundup) and the increased prevalence of genetically engineered proteins in our food.
- Genetically engineered foods, as well as conventional crops that are heavily sprayed with glyphosphate have lower nutrient density than organic foods. Not to forget that they also contain high amounts of pesticides with acknowledged harmful health effects.
- Glyphosate was patented as an antibiotic and chelator (binder) of minerals. It kills the friendly bacteria in the gut by chelating minerals essential for life. It does the same to us thus robbing us of the same essential nutrient minerals.
- Glyphosate causes infertility, miscarriages and abortions in livestock, and in humans (Dr.Huber in the video interview)

How willing are we to sacrifice our children to GMO (genetically modified organisms) and toxic chemicals in our food?
Every parent or person intending to be a parent or person who cares about children—should be involved in the right to know what is in our food. In November 2012, Californians voted down proposition 37 because of strong propaganda and misinformation by many in the food industry, lead by Monsanto. The campaign was so effective that Californians voted to not know if there is poison in their food. Now there is another chance in the state of Washington. Initiative 522, "The People's Right to Know Genetically Engineered Food Act," will require food sold in retail outlets to be labeled if it contains genetically engineered ingredients.
Let's protect future generations now
The vote will be in a week. This will profoundly affect every American. If it dies, there might not be another after it. If the YES vote succeeds, then it opens the door for more states to follow. If we do nothing, we won’t have a right to complain about this problem. Please support your health, the children, and a healthier future.
