Allergy Elimination Therapy (AET or NAET) is a non-invasive, long-standing treatment option that may improve the body’s ability to overcome chronic health issues.

History of Allergy and the Evolution of ANS Allergy Reprogramming 

Dr. Devi Nambudripad, a doctor of chiropractic and licensed acupuncturist, is credited with birthing and making popular the Allergy Elimination Technique (NAET). In an effort to solve personal health issues suffered since childhood, she conducted over 24 years of research and her efforts resulted in the development of a new and effective approach known as Nambudripad’s Allergy Elimination Technique (NAET), for diagnosis and treatment of allergies and allergy-related health disorders of all types.  

NAET focuses on natural, non-invasive, drug-free solutions to the elimination of allergies of all types, and uses a combination of treatment procedures from acupuncture/acupressure, allopathic, chiropractic, nutritional and kinesiological disciplines of medicine.  In the two decades that I have been practicing NIHA’s unique version of Allergy Elimination Therapy, I have helped over 500 patients successfully treat heavy metals, basic food allergies, environmental and seasonal allergies, chronic infections, sinus and mold issues, animal allergies, and vaccine reactions.   

Additionally, many physicians, chiropractors, dentists, acupuncturists and other holistic practitioners have successfully incorporated versions of NAET into their practices with great success over the years. The popularity of NAET, and the number of diverse practitioners who employ the techniques caught the attention of the entire allergy industry: traditional allergy physicians, drug companies, environmental physicians and their millions of patients. The assessment tool Dr. Nambudripad used was kinesiology or muscle testing to determine neurological allergies or toxins.  


Allergy Elimination Therapy for Heavy Metals, Ideally Before Mercury Amalgam Removal  

Being among the first and safest dental practices to properly remove mercury fillings, NIHA had all the best practice clinical standards in place (use of a rubber dam, special air vacuum suction, use of chlorella inter orally). However, we hit a detour in the beginning when we started removing mercury fillings for many patients each week. We found that some of those patients called us within days after the dental procedure complaining of symptoms ranging from a slight headache to much broader symptoms. One of our dentists had trained with Dr. Devi Nambudripad, and replicated her treatment. Surprisingly, all the patients' symptoms disappeared. We discovered that if patients experienced adverse symptoms post-mercury removal, we could effectively treat them with Allergy Elimination Therapy (NAET).  

At one point, a patient presented with a mouthful of mercury fillings, and a Doctors Data hair test from a functional medicine doctor showing elevated lead and silver, but a negative test for mercury. This patient could not afford the treatment plan to remove his mercury fillings. He stressed autonomically to mercury, lead and silver.  Dr. Nambudripad’s method could only treat one toxin at a time. When NIHA added many of Dietrich Klinghardt, M.D. tools to Allergy Elimination Therapy (NAET), including colored glasses, we were able to desensitize (neutralize the stress of a toxin, to a strength) more than one toxin at a time in a single session.  After treating lead, silver and mercury, the patient's hair was retested by the same company 2 months later, and the lead and the silver were excreted at a much higher level, and the initial false negative test for mercury was now very elevated. What this shows is that if you stress to a metal- you cannot freely excrete it. After doing Allergy Elimination Therapy (NAET), the hidden mercury stored in scars, tissues and organs could safely be excreted by the patient. Upon calling Doctors Data to verify the result, the company reported that the patient's level of mercury was in the top 1% of anyone they had ever tested.  This means the patient retained the metals and they were compartmentalized in the body to protect the patient.  However, once the patient is desensitized the metals can be freely excreted through the hair and skin. Remember this patient did not have mercury removed prior to the second test.  

Since then, we found that by adding Allergy Elimination Therapy and Dr. Klinghardt’s therapies to the patient’s protocol prior to safe mercury amalgam removal, the result is far fewer patient symptoms after the removal process. Not only have our mercury removal patients benefited from this discovery, but medical patients who had their mercury removed elsewhere have also benefited from this detoxification therapy.  

Our beloved colleague, Dr. Charles Gant, M.D., who passed away in October 2022, was a believer in addressing underlying toxicities in each patient.  He referred hundreds of patients to the dental component upon negative blood tests for mercury, which he did not believe were accurate, based on their history of mercury removal with a non-biological dentist. Following Allergy Elimination Therapy (NAET) for heavy metals, he would retest their blood, six months later.  Just like the hair test, the heavy metals were now elevated in the blood (not compartmentalized).  He found that patients would then be able to start detoxifying successfully from the metals and begin to feel better.
