I've taken up gymnastics...for my 44th birthday!!
Do you feel better with every decade?

Are you throwing up excuses (lies) that are holding you back?
Lies I used to tell myself:
"I am not athletic."
"I am big boned." (when I weighed 40 pounds more than I do now)
"I probably will gain 10 pounds per year, after the age of 25. (I actually had this belief)
"I am too old to take gymnastics."
STEP 1: Re- Program your words and thoughts, or re-write your blueprint.
"I AM athletic."
"I AM fit, healthy & strong."
"Every year, I can get better & better."
"This is the year I will take gymnastics. I wonder what new & amazing sport I will take up next year!"
STEP 2: Start acting as if you are already there!
Define your goals.
Once your goals are clearly defined, write down how you would act if you had ALREADY achieved your goals. If your goal is to be a writer, what disciplines would you put into place? If your goal is to hit the gym 5 days per week, what classes will you put on your calendar?
BTW: Though I took a few classes before the 6th grade, I was not a gymnast in my earlier life. I'd say I am getting my 44 year old butt handed to me by 9 year olds at the gym, but I'm good with that! It is actually a BLAST & I am having the time of my life. These photos are me on DAY #1! I take private lessons, but get that kicking at open gym on the weekends. I WAS PUSHED WAY HARDER THAN I EXPECTED, BUT IT WAS SO MUCH FUN! Please DO be careful when starting a new sport. Although this sport is 'new' to me, exercise is not. It is a major part of my life!
Here are my 3 athletic tips to keep YOU Strong and HEALTHY!
1. Put your workouts on your calendar & honor them with the highest regard. Do NOT miss your work out. This is YOUR time! (BTW, when Sir Richard Branson was asked what was the #1 contributing factor to his outrageous success, he answered, "dedication to my workouts!")
2. Green juice! Are you surprised I said this? If you know me, you are not. In these toxic days we live in, green juice is simply not optional for me. It is a MUST for excellent cellular rejuvenation, peace of (health) mind & optimal post work-out recovery. Green juice is the KEY to my success in life with energy, exercise & business. To say that green juice has changed my life, is an understatement.
3. I'm going to put a few 3rd place notable mentions here. They are:
-My all natural post work out recovery drinks
-ALA & vitamin B complex
-one MEGA POWER SALAD, every single day for lunch with plenty of sprouts & seeds such as chia, hemp & sesame
-Switching from (acidic) coffee to uber healthy reishi, chaga custom tea
How will YOU go big as we move into 2014?
Skating lessons? Run a marathon? Run a half marathon?
Do a 7 day, long distance bike journey? (admittedly, a dream of mine--maybe look for that one next year?!)
Hike a magnificent mountain?
