According to the CDC 1 in 4 Americans have what is referred to as metabolic syndrome.

Just look around....

What is the body shape you see a lot?

Overweight with most of the weight centered in the middle, right?

And if you knew that person, you would also know that they may have: high blood pressure, high triglycerides, low HDL and insulin resistance. These are the hallmark traits of metabolic syndrome.

That person wants things to be healthy, they want to feel better, but they just don’t know who/what/where and most of all “how” to even begin to make that happen.

Maybe you know what they are feeling?

  • scared -- they see their weight going up and up

  • confused -- are eggs good for me or bad for me??

  • overwhelmed -- they don’t have the time to do health research

  • tired --  of not feeling good and having no energy

It’s tough to take action when you don’t know what to do! But as confusion lingers, Type II diabetes rears it’s head and blood sugar levels start to climb close to the “pre-diabetic” range.

Take Action While You Can

This is a precarious time because in the pre-diabetic stage damage can occur leading to complications of diabetes like heart attack and stroke, nerve pain and circulatory problems.

85 mg/dl is considered to be the best fasting blood sugar level by many MD’s and researchers. In a country where 25% of the population meets the criteria for metabolic syndrome, (and that number is rising by the minute), I doubt that a fasting blood sugar of 85 is reached by many!

79 million people are pre-diabetic and don’t even know it!

Could that be you?

Learning to address diet and lifestyle is Essential to preventing Type II Diabetes.
