Do You Have Belly Fat?

High insulin levels could be the reason why!!

Insulin is produced by the body in response to eating carbohydrates. As I have talked about belly_fatbefore, the breakdown of carbohydrates causes a rise in blood sugar. Insulin is produced by the pancreas to escort the sugar out of the blood and in to the cells where it is used for energy. When more sugar is taken in than needed it gets stored in the fat cells for later use. Unfortunately, it’s a viscous cycle because the more fat you accumulate the less you are able to burn that stored fat!

High insulin levels affect the body in ways that prevent us from healing. Insulin has it’s hand in most everything that goes on in the body from high triglyceride levels to low HDL levels to belly fat.

As you know I am a big believer in eating whole nutrient dense foods that help to bring insulin levels down. I can’t think of one disease that is aggravated by eating a clean whole foods diet!

I can, however, think of lots of chronic diseases - arthritis, cancer, diabetes, heart disease - that ARE aggravated by high insulin levels.

Do you have a waistline that needs help? Do you have high triglyceride or low HDL numbers? Is sugar ever present in your life and you just can’t seem to walk away from it?

Come and let us share with you the tools we have gathered to accelerate the healing of your body!
